When I first got the Wii fit, my wife and I spent a lot of time playing with the balance games that were available. These were a lot of fun, but I didn’t see much in the way of weight loss or fitness from using them. It gave me an opportunity, however, to grow accustomed to the game and I needed to use some of the other parts of the game in order to unlock additional balance games. This helped to thoroughly introduced me to the entire game.
Like many people, I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and although I’ve tried a number of different diets and I’ve had success to a limited extent, I’ve never really been able to get in shape that I need. That changed, however, whenever I started to use the Wii fit as it was intended to be used. Instead of just playing a game, I began to get somewhat serious about the things that I was doing with it and I started to notice changes in my body. By just playing a game for approximately 30 minutes a day, I was able to shed about 10 pounds in the first month which is pretty good, considering I did not change the way that I was eating very much.
As is the case with most people that start to lose weight, I got a little bit more serious when I started to notice differences in the way that I looked in the mirror. For example, I started drinking extra water and I started skipping some of the extra desserts that tended to find their way onto my plate. It wasn’t a huge change in my life, but it was enough that it accelerated my weight-loss even further.
After six months of using the Wii fit consistently, I have to say that I am in the shape of my life. Although I may not be ready for the cover of men’s health magazine, I am fairly happy with the way that I am looking. I feel better, have more energy and I am fitting into clothes that I haven’t been able to wear since just after I got out of high school. All in all, I would say that the Wii fit is one of the better investments that I’ve ever made.
